My mission statement: When our paths meet, let me spark your interest with joy towards functional web design, impactful art, and engaging graphic design that helps others in return.
In 2013, I invested in my artistic talents, technical aptitude, and personal happiness by developing my career path towards becoming a creative professional. I have earned my Associate of Applied Science in Design and Graphic Technology in December 2015 from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC.) Since then, I took up freelancing and also worked for companies here in the Green Bay area that could benefit from the user-friendly, customer-interactive design while updating their online and social presence with a modern, fresh look. In my current field of study, Web Design, I am enjoying learning how to properly and efficiently code web pages using HTML, CSS, PHP, and WordPress, to name a few. I am excited about finding a paid internship to help me achieve my next goal: A bachelor’s degree in UX/UI design! This is the perfect opportunity to use my creative and technical skills while helping others online and using other digital/web platforms.

To elaborate, I was in charge of co-directing for all designing, social media management, photography, makeup/decor, wardrobe, models, volunteers, and ticket sales for the 2019 Fashion for Compassion Event. I started volunteering for the first FFC SVdPGB event in 2018. I was delighted and honored I could help people using my creative talents. The SVdPGB event highlights fashion pieces that were donated to our local stores and then later to be auctioned off for help to pay for a multitude of charity programs, empowering the impoverished and welcoming systemic change into our Green Bay area community. I wish to do more work like this in the future when the pandemic is over. I want to help others become self-sufficient, to know where to find resources, and to educate people that poverty can be eliminated if we all work together to break the cycle.
My strengths: Creativity, Compassion, Resourcefulness: I absolutely love being able to bring the endless ideas that flow through my mind and appreciate the opportunity to express my diversity within my work while helping others achieve their creative goals. If I can find someone to provide you with help or if you’re in need of local resources, 211 is one of the best places to call. It’s free and confidential to all that use it. I have used it myself when I first came to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Asking for help was the smartest decision I made at that time.
My weakness: Perfectionism. I sometimes struggle with inadequacy or self-doubt as it has been an incredibly hard past two years since being laid off due to the pandemic. I struggled with putting together my resume at first, how to tell people that I need to be self-isolating, and feeling as if I wasn’t trying hard enough. However, I am learning it is okay that not everything has to be 100% perfect, and providing solid, consistent results instead of perfection is helping me learn better methods and practices on combating it with assertiveness and planning.

Mentor: I do not have a mentor at this time. After losing my previous mentor, Rob Kientop – NWTC Design Faculty, something struck me hard after coming across this Forbes article. Please read it if you have time. I am currently reaching out in my professional networks to get in touch with other people who may have an interest in mentoring me.
Other interests I enjoy are fine art, illustration, gaming (PC, Console, Retro, and Tabletop), science, reading, volunteering, animal welfare, culinary arts, learning German, listening to a vast array of music, and travel! Being fortunate to have lived and traveled across the US, it gave me the unique opportunity to experience life coast-to-coast; finding new, exciting adventures, learning about the local culture, and meeting fascinating people wherever I go. All of these experiences enable me to be respectful and humble while working in the diverse atmosphere of each workplace that I encounter.
